Home in Vatutine
Vatutine is located in central Ukraine (150 miles south of Kyiv). We have been in contact with this home since 2017. Luckily, it is in an area, which has been safe so far.
In peaceful times, the home provides social, health and other services to 32 senior citizens. - Almost all of them are bed-bound.
Currently, 150 people live in the home. On the top of the regular residents, there are more senior citizens, also mothers with children, and teenagers - refugees from Eastern Ukraine. They live four in rooms for two, they sleep in the dining room, in the corridors... During bombing allerts, all hide in the basement.
Current needs:
Support of every-day needs of the home in Vatutine. - The excessive number of current residents of the home and constant power outages create tremendous pressure every day.
